The guns rifled and banded alluded to
in this account were the first done by
the Messrs Eason of that calibre and are
now in Fort Moultrie where they have
been in service for the past seven
months. This a/c was declined at the
Arsenal and paid by me to prevent
delay. The guns were rifled by
authority from Head Qrs Dept
S.C. Geo & Fla by my directions
