Fort Moultrie
Still standing
The masonry work on Sullivan's Island, on the northern side of the harbor entrance. Major Anderson's garrison moved from Moultrie to Fort Sumter on the night of 26 December 1860; the Confederate batteries there fired on Sumter in April 1861 and the fort remained in Confederate hands until the harbor was evacuated.
