Four guns at Gregg, one muzzle in the sand
Only eight Confederate shots all day. Four guns were now observed at Battery Gregg — three Parrotts and a 10-inch columbiad — and the big Parrott on the northeast angle still lay with its breech toward Fort Sumter and its muzzle in the sand, waiting to be mounted.
